I'm so lucky!

Yesterday was an excellent mail day... I received a package from my mother, and then a lovely package from a lovely person who offered to order me a kit from The Plucky Knitter for the absolutely incredible Color Affection shawl by Veera Välimäki

      As you can see it's not all that Heliraj sent me!!!


Today I received some consolation yarn (no hugs for me because          I'm going through a therapy for hyperthyroidism and must stay apart from the kids) from Handu dyed by Ilu... 

 
accompanied by the usual super cute buttons!

And then I got to see the cave-man, who is in hospital recovering from an operation... (He's all recovered if you ask me, and has lost weight... too much skin under his chin.) =) Glad he's okay again!

Snapshots while driving...

I have a funny friend who often takes photos while driving... so I tried, but I did stop the car, AND I was on small country roads...

And then... this wall was built over twenty years ago and the cave-man and I noticed something funny the very first time we drove by... can you spot it? 

I have yet to find someone who has seen it before we point it out to them... =)

Le Cesine - Rare family outing!

Since the cave-man has worked in his hotel every weekend since forever, we rarely have had the pleasure of Sunday outings... now we can!!! =)

With Minerva feverish, and two cars (we don't fit in one anymore) we took off to the Cesine national park where the local WWF had organized some gathering...

We had five Nikons and one video camera with us... these are my photos! :

On Friday, June 9th 1978 I saw my love for the first time. I was not yet fifteen, and he was about to be married. Eight years later I was older and he was separated and now we have four beautiful kids and he is still my love!
